The HVCFI/iCANny Entrepreneurs Breakfast Forum on June 6, 2012 addressed the ways a business can develop the social media skills to attract new customers, foster substantial business growth and build a sustainable business. The moderator for the forum was Les Neumann, Managing Director of HVCFI and iCANny.
Each month the Breakfast presents an international guest to speak to the business climate from abroad. This month’s international speaker was Tobias Poensgen, Chief Executive Officer at UK- based ScienceWorks Ventures PLC and Managing Director of Momentum Capital. Poensgen delivered his presentation via Skype on the economic recovery and the effects of Greece, Spain and Ireland on European business. Neumann then delivered a brief presentation on the New Innovation Business Model and the conversion of innovation and concepts to economic value for business.
Les Neumann then introduced the featured guest speaker at this month’s forum, Jan Wallen, speaker, author and professional consultant who specializes in social media. In her presentation “Maximizing Your LinkedIn and Social Media Connections,” Wallen discussed how to leverage LinkedIn to improve sales and business development. Her presentation specifically outlined how LinkedIn can help you get more clients, receive quality referrals that turn into business and reach the right people.
Throughout the conference, the in-studio audience participated by asking questions to the presenters and become part of the conversation.
